Family Photographs Chapter 3

When he got to his grandparents house he asked why the dog was in every picture. His grandfather was a wise old man and had answers to almost any question. As you might’ve guessed his grandfather answered that question quite easily. “It isn’t the same dog in every photo,” he said, “You see, every dog was the one before her’s daughter.” “The very first dog was bought from a shelter about 350 years ago.”

“That is interesting,” said John. “I will tell Mom and Dad and everybody in  my class that.” Then John said goodbye and left. When he got home he told his parents. “That is interesting,” they said. The next day he told his friends all about it.

“Cool,” they said.

That is how John figured out the mystery.

  1. Hi Edward,
Thanks for finishing that story. You chose an ending that makes perfect sense. For awhile I was thinking magic, but no just generations of similar dogs in a family.
It’s well written. Thank you for your time and effort.
