“Mom, I’m home!” said John when he got home after school.
“Okay!” his mom shouted back. John found her and told her that he had a project for school to do.
“What is it?” she asked.
“We have to bring in old family photos,” John said.
“There are some family photos on the desk over there,” she said.
“Thanks,” said John. A little while later John was sitting down at his desk looking at family photos. Then, he realized the same dog was in every picture! The very same husky with bright blue eyes, gray and white fur, and the same happy face! John was flabbergasted. He ran to show his mom.

I can tell which prompt your are basing your story off of. I like how you introduced the story by creating a purpose for looking back through old family photographs. I can’t wait to read the next chapter tomorrow.
